The evening begins with a reception where you can mix and mingle with your fellow young professionals, and will offer complimentary alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and complimentary light hors d'oeuvres. Does membership cost anything?

No. Membership is free.

What is the age range of your attendees?

Most of our members are between ages 21 and 45. However, people who feel that they fall over this age range are more than welcome at our events, as long as they are young in spirit.

Do you offer any events focused on the forty plus market?

In addition to the 250 D.C. events that we presently host for our members, we recently started a new, completely separate group focused solely on offering events to the forty plus market. You do not have to be over age forty to attend; you just have to wish to attend an event where the majority of attendees will be over age forty. Is DCSYP a Singles Organization?

While we host a few regular events targeted specifically at singles, most of our events are attended by both singles and couples. Our events targeted specifically at singles are explicitly labelled as such, and include our Progressive Parties, our Profile Singles Dinners, our Secret Admirers Dinners, and our Lock and Key Parties. Our membership consists of approximately 70 percent singles and 30 percent dating or married couples.

I do not know any DCYoungPro members? Can I attend an event alone?

The majority of our attendees attend events by themselves. We have over 30,000 members, so there are many new members at every event. If you do not know anybody, feel free to tell us this when you check in, and we would be happy to introduce you around.

I have a venue or idea that I think would be good for a DCYoungPro event. How can I get the word about it out to you?

Yes. We have counterparts in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, all of which are run by the same people who bring you D.C. Society of Young Professionals.
